Thanksgiving break, Chapter three:
The most amazing thing for me was being a family together. In the midst of the travel, the schedule differences, some stress and lots of celebration my favorite part was being with Jeff and Augie. Watching them be loved by everyone around them. Settling down to new environments together at night. There is a funny bit of … triumph?… that happens when you survive changing routine, bailing naps, eating sporattically. I loved yesterday just to watch Augie nap. To see his little chest rise and fall and see his face so content. To know that because we have each other we can be happy even outside of our comfort zone. And to know that there are so many people that support us so readily and so completely, so the foreignness of leaving home is not so tough. It can be hell to travel with a baby- especially our baby. This was a delight.
